About Me

My photo
I'm a wife to an analytical man, that can drive me crazy sometimes (OK all the time), he always answers my questions with a question, but that's why I love him, and that love continues to grow with our 2 beautiful boys. I'm just a simple person who likes beautiful things and I have a little bit of an expensive taste, but who you kidding, I can't afford all those luxury items and even if I do, I'm a good shopper that is always looking for great deals. I also like to do my diy stuff, coz that means saving my bucks! I hope this blog will inspire you how to dress fabulous and save bucks at the same time, so stay tuned! Have a fabulous day!

Cool Chick Gray on Gray

Gray Jeans, Tees and Heels

Spring is finally peeking through, we're having another 70+ forecast today! And I'm ready for tees, light weight jeans and open toe shoes!

I found these gray skinny jeans from H&M on sale for $17 and did you know when you donate used clothes, you'll received 15% off of your purchase! Voila! I only paid $15! So to keep it chic, I paired it with my old tee with jewels embellished also from H&M and my perfect gray denim peep toe shoes!

See you don't always have to break the bank to look chic and luxurious! It’s just how you wear it and how confident you are!

Simple, Easy, Affordable Outfit for Aruba

What to pack for Aruba in February

We've been going back and forth on planning a trip to Aruba starting in the beginning of 2015, finally we did it and it was awesome! Aruba is definitely one of the happier islands (as their slogan says). So if you are contemplating it, trust me, DO IT!

I started shopping for our trip at the end of 2015 and snagged some great deals! I have so many pictures of my outfis but I'll just share few of my favorites, because there so many of them!

This was our second night in Aruba, I wore white distressed skinny jeans, paired with yellow top open back and my bright straw clutch
After the Caravan show, I was lucky to wear one of their costume!
I just love this linen romper from Nordstrom by Lush. It's just a great casual but chic look with open back and I wore it with Cosabella sweetie soft bra.

I love the classic denim shorts with white tank and of course black leather back pack by Rebecca Minkoff.

This is my absolute favorite cover up by Victoria's Secret, I just love those little pom-pom trim and plunge back and I also love the easy way of using sarong.

My Sweet Valentine
We had our early Valentine's dinner at Fusion Wine & Piano Bar on our last night in Aruba (they have the best escargo, even my 2 boys ate them too!)
I fell in love with this dress, I love the color blocking and it's so sweet. I don't ever wear anything strapless, it's just not my favorite, but this one got my heart. It has the silicone lining to keep it in place and it just fits like a glove!

~OUTFITS~
1. SP distressed white jeans (Nordstrom) | Yellow tank (H&M) | Orange Straw clutch (my old fave from Nordstrom)

2. Linen stripe wrap front romper (Lush Nordstrom) | Sweetie soft bra (Cosabella)

3. Distressed denim shorts (Abercrombie) | White ribbed tank (Vince) | Fringe Backpack (Rebecca Minkoff) | Pave crystal earring jacket (Cove Nordstrom) | Sunnies (Chanel)

4. White Crochet Beach Romper (Victoria's Secret) | Knockout Bandeau (Victoria's Secret) | Multicolor Bikini (Target) | Sarong (Calvin Klein) |   Bead Necklace w/ Buddha (Bloomingdale's outlet) | Fedora & Flappy Straw hat (Nordstrom)

5. Strapless dress by Adelyn Are (Nordstrom) | Geometric Embroidered Minaudiere clutch (Big Buddha Nordstrom) | Strappy pink shoes (my old piece from Banana Republic)

here's a good read on the beach, Rebel Queen by Michelle Moran and a mimosa!

35 and Fabulous!

In 5 days I'll be turning 35 years old! time definitely flies, I swear I was just 25 last year and just getting married, fast forward 10 years, boom I'm 35!!
But after all, AGE is just a number, I don't feel different now from 34 to 35, but one thing for sure what I feel is, that I'm entering the adulthood for good and it means mortgages, 401K, college funds (if you have kids). I also feel so much more comfortable in my own skin, I don't care what people think of me, it's okay that I cannot cater to everyone and I'm more wiser with the choices that I make.

I want to share with you my OWN version of what Being 35 years old is...GREAT!

1. Turning 35 is a milestone and I still have good years ahead of me.
2. I'm blessed with my amazing husband, my best friend, my partner in crime and our 2 beautiful healthy boys.
3. I've learned to accept that I cannot please everybody and that's okay.
4. I've mastered the art of "letting go".
5. I see more smile lines around my eyes, that's okay, I plan to smile more often, and did you know it's contagious! (see you're smiling now!)
6. I've kept a small group of best of friends around me for 13 years even after I had kids, and  we still make an effort to see each other.
7. I'm proud to say that I have a very good relationship with my in-laws. Just BE KIND and BE HONEST.
8. Having children at age 31, I found it HARD and REWARDING at the same time. You will never be ready for the rewarding over flow of love, the happiness, how proud you feel for them, the worry for their wellness and safety. Most definitely that you will never be ready how hard it is to be a parent, the exhaustion, the stress, the strain and how expensive. But at the end of the day, I wouldn't have it any other way.
9. ME TIME- I learned right away after I had my first child, that I need to take care of MYSELF too. I need to be healthy for them so I can live longer to see them get older. I give myself a 1 hour time out by going to the gym or yoga and eat healthy. It's also a plus to look good to feel good!

10. At age of 34, I lost my job due to down sizing, I was shocked and speechless!!!!.....for 2 weeks!.....Remember I mentioned LET GO?, this was the perfect example of the things I cannot control and that I just have to let it go. I worked for retail as a manager for over 11 years, and you know retail hours are gruesome! This past Holiday 2015 was the greatest reward that I received from loosing a job. I got to spend more time with my family and I was stress free! SPEND QUALITY TIME WITH YOUR FAMILY.
11. I learned that I am now enjoying reading more, whether it's a novel, or some blog or an article. Try to READ more.
12. Don't let your children keep you from traveling. I plan to travel more to a different part of country and take my boys with us.
13. DANCE MORE- I've always love to dance ( I guess it's the Filipino nature) I need to dance more, whether being silly with my boys, in the shower or in the kitchen or with my closest friends.
14. One of my priorities is to go out on a DATE with my hubby 2-3 days a month.
15. Getting older is something to celebrate. It's the best gift that you will  receive and not everyone gets a chance. BE THANKFUL.

The rest I'm still finding out! After all I'm just turning 35, I'm just getting warmed up. I hope that this inspires you to change something in your life now before you get much older and to fulfill your dreams. Whether in fashion, wellness or the quality of life that you are living now, soon you will make great choices for yourself.

Strolling around New York City

Rockerfeller Christmas tree and all...

Well I hope you all had a great Christmas! I was a bit exhausted from all the festivities. My boys had a blast from all the gifts that they opened from Santa Claus, from us and from the whole family!
And Christmas is not quite over yet, for the past 3 years now, my hubby and I take our boys to NYC to see the Christmas tree at Rockerfeller Center. There is just something magical about it and we all love just strolling around NYC during the Christmas Season.

This is the whole gang, my other half Michael and our two boys Michael 5 and Matthew 3.

My everyday booties :)

I'm so excited about my new Fedora hat that I got from Nordstrom for only $20!

Michael wanted to be in the picture!
Hope you all have a chance to check it out for yourself.
